Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Director opening to join our Global Information Systems function.

Day to Day:

To provide leadership to achieve operational excellence in the overall process execution of the European IT organization in collaboration with our business partners the various GIS functions (EA, PMO, GBS,etc), the AMS partner, the ADM partners and the infrastructure support services.  Ensure the effective implementation of the global initiatives into the region. 
Help facilitate metric reporting and to drive actionable improvements, conduct data and process analysis and lead process improvement activities.



As the CIO Director, Operations and Governance, you will drive an effective IT performance measurement and management process / framework collaborating with the appropriate functions of GIS. 
You will be expected to leverage people, process, data and change management tools to drive towards improved processes and systems in the European regions.  Specifically, you will help facilitate metric reporting and drive actionable improvements, conduct data and process analysis and lead process improvement activities to implement sustainable execution excellence within the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    * Partner with world-wide IT in the evaluation, recommendation and deployment of the best practices and technologies that will support the business strategic and annual plans
    * Manage all aspects of business systems analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance and enhancement for mission-critical business systems for assigned strategic projects
    * Develop strategies for allocating budget, staff, tools and specialized support necessary for cost effective implementation and user training for new systems
    * Acting as a general contractor on projects, develop appropriate support from various technology and service departments, providing direction to project team members and integrating activities with other departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts
    * Keep abreast of new technologies and industry strategies in order to identify opportunities to improve project efforts 
    * Lead and facilitate efforts designed to improve overall IT processes and systems while maintaining an absolute focus on the customer.  These efforts include initiatives such as reducing defects, problems, driving work out of our processes, reducing cycle time and driving digital control plans.  Coaches employees, teaches tools and approaches, analyzes data, manages projects and help facilitate metric collection and reporting.
    * Develop  own an ongoing IT Improvement Program.  Inputs include regularly updating the IT SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis; peer benchmarking; and other forms of self-assessment that contribute to a regular IT maturity check-up.
    * Align robust, agile metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) with business strategy in an automated fashion that drives clarity, accountability and improvements.
    * Partner on delivery of monthly metrics via a balanced scorecard approach.  Supplement traditional IT reporting metrics with measures such as financial, customer satisfaction, IT risk management and adherence to internal processes.
    * Bring new, relevant tools and approaches to the business.  Educate and coach IT employees on specific Six Sigma and/or lean tools and approaches, as needed, to enable them to do their jobs better.  Additionally, partner with employees outside of IT who work in Business Process Improvement (BPI) roles.
    * Work with IT leaders and business stakeholders to help further optimize core order-to-cash, requisition-to-check and financial processes.
    * Project manages key projects as identified by the CIO and other IT VPs.  Participate in BPI and blueprinting efforts focused on improving business processes and assessing both "as is" and "to be" process models.

Qualifications

    * Strong relationship management at all levels ranging from executives to staff exercising teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
    * Leadership and management of technical staff and joint IT/business teams through various life-cycle phases to meet goals
    * Minimum 10 years experience supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of large scale, integrated, on-line business systems
    * Knowledge of software development methodologies such as agile, RAD, traditional, change management and compliance frameworks like COBIT and ITIL.
    * Knowledge of application maintenance and application development approaches and portfolio funding models.
    * Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written
    * Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
    * Take initiative in a fast paced work environment
    * Possess excellent planning and organizational abilities
    * Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills
    * Interface with a variety of functions at all levels within the organization and obtain sponsorship for projects
    * Experience with Go-To-Market, Supply Chain and Shared Services value chains
     
      Additional Qualifications
    * Advanced degree a plus
    * Advanced knowledge of computing technologies and operations that support business systems and the user community
    * Certifications / Expertise:  Six Sigma Black Belt certification and 8+ years process improvement experience is preferred.  Minimum requirement is Green Belt certification and/or equivalent experience.
    * Strong aptitude for statistical analysis and process improvement.
    * Understanding of technology directions, trends and strategic business impacts.

Education, Qualifications

    * A minimum of 10 years of IT leadership responsibility involving several key technologies/disciplines:
          o CRM (SAP, Siebel, Salesforce.com, other major suppliers)
          o ERP - SAP 4.7, ECC 6, APO
          o Structured and distributed Internet architecture.
          o eCommerce platforms - Websphere commerce
          o Intranet and portal technologies
          o Middleware development and deployment
    * A Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
