Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Electronic MOTOR Drive Engineer to work in the Advanced Algorithm group on Motor Drive and Sensing Projects.
 

Electronic Drive System engineers at client develop a strong working knowledge of our products, processes and test requirements and apply them to specific projects within our Global Product Organization.  In this position, you will create and implement electronics cross product drive system strategies involving motors and motor controls.  You will troubleshoot, analyze, and conceive solutions for various areas, including components, small systems, test methods, quality systems and materials.  You are also responsible for managing multiple projects while maintaining a strong communication link between your team, related departments, customers and suppliers.

What You Will Do:
Develop and implement state of the art drive system technologies to support key customer requirements
Work with cross functional and multi-regional team members to ensure seamless drive system integration within overall electronic product
Design, simulation, analysis, prototyping of electric motor drive systems for electronic applications
Provide global technology leadership through project planning and execution to meet established objectives of time, cost, performance and quality
Write Engineering specifications
Design, develop, review and conduct coordination for test programs of motor drive components, motor drive systems taking into account customers, product performance, cost and quality requirements
Analyze, evaluate, and document product testing and troubleshooting data
Identify, analyze, and solve issues to improve product performance and quality
Learn and apply Six Sigma techniques to applicable projects
Interface with business partners, suppliers, and customers
Requirements
What You Need To Succeed:

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Real world application of multi-phase motor controls
A detailed understanding of embedded control system electronics and hardware interfacing
An understanding of control methodologies of various motors such as BLDC, Single Phase Induction (Split Phase with Start Capacitor and Split Phase with Permanent Capacitor), 3 Phase Induction, and Universal
An understanding of specific electronic and electro-mechanical control systems
Ability to develop electronic circuits, knowing the advantages, limitations, and costs of various electronic design approaches
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the specific ability to work within global teams
Capability to quickly build relationships with other functions, to foster activities such as negotiating with suppliers, interacting with consumers, and consulting with designers and marketing professionals
Flexibility to quickly adapt work objectives to support new customer requirements
Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions when necessary
In-depth computer skills in Microsoft Office, simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink. Knowledge of ProE is a plus.
Ability to travel to meet with other client or supplier operations
Strong presentation skills
